Very Inventive, LLC is my new production company (June 2010).
A little about my background... I wrote my first lines of Assembly code at eight. I started my first business while in high school. I dual-majored in Mechanical Engineering and Ethical/Political Philosophy at Brown University, though I dropped Engineering in the second year because its opportunity cost was too great - which is a fancy way of saying I didn't like it and I had better things to do. I still love to build things.
I started a career in information technology working for a then-famous chain of stores in NYC, whose iconic storefront you would not have noticed was on the set of Seinfeld unless you lived in Manhattan. Built and supported everything in the IT stack, from back-end warehousing to front-end point of sale system.
I then founded and ran an interactive agency in NYC's Silicon Alley from 1996-2001, part of the early WWW. We had a full size SmashTV arcade game and listened to music all day long. I didn't see daylight for a number of years during that period.
Over the years I've consulted in areas across the IT spectrum for a wide variety of companies from boutique to Fortune sized. Most recently I spent about seven years climbing one particular corporate ladder, but I'm back to entrepreneurial roots these days.
Conan, what is best in life? Family, music, dogs and food.
